Enterprise Architect - Banking
LEVEL: SENIOR
Are you a freelance or contract Enterprise Architect, experienced in the BIAN (or other banking industry) framework(s)? Do you have experience in using and creating reference architectures, flight plans and technology blueprints? Good communicator who loves engaging and collaborating with technology leadership? Then we have an exciting contract opportunity for you with a leading banking concern, while working remotely!
Obsidian Information Technologies is a dynamic and forward-thinking technology consultancy that specializes in creating groundbreaking software solutions for a diverse range of industries. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Enterprise Architect to contribute and collaborate on a client project.
This is a 3-month remote, client-facing, contract engagement through one of our consulting client firms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand the client’s current architectural landscape, challenges and existing roadmaps

Understand the client’s architectural aspirations around application, data, and infrastructure domains
-
Collecting relevant as-is domain landscape information from the client’s architects and documenting the findings against the BIAN Service Landscape

Developing focused reference architectures aligned with the client’s current (and future) domain landscapes

Evaluating existing applications within the landscape for suitability and longevity against existing proprietary frameworks

Interpret customer strategy and architectural principles to influence architectural blueprints and flight plans

Document high level roadmaps to facilitate modernization of the existing landscapes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Honors or Master degree in either Information Systems or Computer Science

5+ years’ experience in applying TOGAF or TOGAF certification

5+ years’ minimum experience in enterprise software development and management

10+ years’ experience in systems design and development

10+ years’ experience in solution, application and/or enterprise architecture

Deep understanding of traditional SDLC and modern (Agile, etc.) development methodologies

Technical knowledge around system integration and integration architecture

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
